Pricing

From as low as this, with everything included

Never per learner. Every module from the first day, no setup fee, and a school that grows costs you nothing more.

KES 4,060 a month

That is KES 48,720 a year for your school, with every module switched on. Groups running several schools are quoted, and we tell you where you land before you commit.

Included

Everything, for everyone

There is no tier where the finance module is held back to sell you an upgrade later. You get all 21 modules from the first day.

  • Every module. There is no tier where finance or academics is held back
  • Unlimited learners, so a school that grows pays the same
  • Unlimited staff accounts and unlimited parent accounts
  • Stores, payroll, procurement and accounts, not just fees and academics
  • Data migration from your current system or from Excel
  • Training for your team, and retraining as staff change
  • Support from real people inside the system, not an email queue
  • Updates, including every new module we ship
Not included

The two things charged separately

Both are pass through costs rather than margin, and both are optional.

Message credits

SMS is charged at cost as you use it, topped up by M-Pesa. Messages inside the parent portal are free.

Vehicle tracking hardware

If you want live bus tracking and your buses have no tracker, the devices are a one off cost. Many schools already have them.

The comparison

Two ways to price school software

Priced per learner, per term

  • The year you finally fill your classes is the year your software bill goes up
  • A setup or implementation fee arrives as a separate invoice before anyone has used anything
  • Finance or academics sits behind a higher tier, so the module you needed most is the one you buy again
  • Stores, payroll and procurement are a different product, bought separately if at all
  • Every extra staff login and every parent account is another line on the invoice

Priced per school, everything included

  • From as low as KES 4,060 a month, and going from 400 learners to 900 changes nothing
  • No setup fee. Migration, configuration and training sit inside the subscription
  • All 21 modules from the first day. There is no tier where finance or academics is held back
  • Stores, payroll, procurement, expenses and accounts are part of the same system, not an upsell
  • Unlimited learners, unlimited staff accounts and unlimited parent accounts
Why this way

Per learner pricing taxes the schools that are working

Most school software in this market is priced per learner, per term, often with a separate setup fee on top. It is a reasonable way to run a software business and a difficult way to run a school. It means the year you finally fill your classes is the year your software bill goes up, so the schools doing best are the ones punished for it.

We would rather charge the school one flat monthly figure and let you grow into it. It makes our revenue less exciting and our renewals a great deal more likely, because a school that is doing well has no reason to go shopping.

It also keeps the conversation honest. When the price does not move with your enrolment, nobody at Enaton has a reason to push you toward a bigger number.

Questions

What schools ask about pricing

What does the KES 4,060 actually cover?

Your school, with every one of the modules switched on from the first day. There is no tier where finance, payroll or stores is held back to sell you an upgrade later.

What happens when our school grows?

Nothing changes. Enaton is never priced per learner, so going from 400 learners to 900 does not increase what you pay. We do not think growing should be taxed.

Is there a setup or implementation fee?

No. Migration from your current system, configuration and training are part of the subscription rather than a separate invoice at the start.

We run several schools. What then?

You are quoted, and we tell you where you land before you commit to anything. The basis is the size of the group rather than a headcount of learners, so growth still does not push the price up on its own.

Are we locked into a contract?

It is billed monthly. If Enaton is not working for your school you can leave, and you can take your data with you.

Do parents pay anything?

The school’s subscription covers the school. Where a school chooses to offer the parent portal on a per family basis, that is arranged with you rather than imposed.
