Surveys and feedback

School surveys and parent feedback, inside the system you already use

You hear the loudest three parents, not the quiet majority. You choose who is asked, and answers arrive inside Enaton.

Enaton lets a school ask its parents or its staff a set of questions and actually hear back. You choose who is asked, whether answers are named or anonymous, and how people are told, and the results arrive inside the system you already run the school in.

What it does

Enaton lets a school ask its parents or its staff a set of questions and actually hear back. You choose who is asked, whether answers are named or anonymous, and how people are told, and the results arrive inside the system you already run the school in.

Ask exactly the people you mean

  • The parents of a class, a grade or the whole school
  • Teaching staff, one department, or everybody on the payroll
  • A handful of named people, when that is the honest audience

  • Anyone, through an open link, for a question the whole community may answer

Named or anonymous, and the promise is real

When you launch a survey you choose whether answers carry a name. With a named survey you see who said what. With an anonymous one the school still sees who was invited and who has answered, so it knows how far the survey has reached, but never which answer belongs to whom.

That is a promise kept in how the answers are stored, not only in what the screen chooses to show. Staff tell the truth about a school when they believe it cannot be traced to them, and they are right to check.

Reach people where they already are

  • By SMS, by a notification in the parent portal, in the staff portal, or by WhatsApp
  • Answered inside the portal by people who are signed in
  • Answered on a secure link by everybody else, on any phone

  • Shown on your school website, as a feedback page any visitor can find

Open and closed on your terms

  • Close on a date, for a term survey with a deadline
  • Close by hand, when you have heard enough
  • Close when a target number of answers is reached

  • Or leave it open as a standing feedback box that is always there

Results where the school can use them

Answers arrive in Enaton as they come in, so the head can watch a survey fill rather than wait for somebody to download a spreadsheet. They stay with the school, under the same permissions as everything else, whoever happens to leave.

What changes on Enaton

Before

  • A form in a separate tool, with a link pasted into a WhatsApp group
  • It reaches whoever happens to be in the group that day
  • Nobody can tell who has answered, and some people answer twice
  • Anonymous means trusting whoever owns the form
  • The results live in one person’s account, and leave when they do

On Enaton

  • The audience comes from the class lists and staff records already in Enaton
  • Every parent is told by SMS or in the parent portal, whether or not they are in a group
  • The school sees who was asked and who has answered
  • Anonymous is kept in how the answers are stored, not only on the screen
  • The results belong to the school, under the same permissions as everything else

Who it helps

  • Head teachers hear from the quiet majority, not only the loudest three parents.

  • Directors make decisions about transport, meals and fees on what families actually said.

  • HR and deputy heads get honest answers from staff, because anonymous means anonymous.

  • Parents answer in a minute on the phone they already have.

How it works

  1. Choose who is asked, from a grade to the whole school

  2. Decide whether answers are named or anonymous

  3. People are told by SMS, app, portal or WhatsApp and answer on any phone

  4. Close on a date or a target, or leave it open

  5. Watch the answers arrive inside Enaton as they come in

A grown school cannot hear its own parents

A school with two hundred families knows what its parents think, because the head meets most of them at the gate. A school with nine hundred does not. What it hears is the three parents who complain loudest and the silence of everybody else, and it makes decisions about transport, meals and fees on that.

The usual fix is a form made in a separate survey tool and a link pasted into a WhatsApp group. It reaches the parents who happen to be in the group, nobody can tell who has answered, the same person answers twice, and the results sit in somebody’s personal account when they leave.

The school already holds every parent’s number, every class list and every member of staff. The survey tool knows none of that, which is exactly why it cannot do the job.

How Enaton handles it

The survey starts from the people you already have. Ask the parents of one grade, the teaching staff, one department, the whole school, or anyone at all. Enaton already knows who those people are and how to reach them, so there is no list to export and no group to maintain.

People are told through the channels your school already uses, and they answer wherever is easiest for them: inside the parent portal, inside the staff portal, or on a secure link that works on any phone. The answers come back to one place, against the right survey, belonging to the school rather than to whoever set it up.

Questions we get about this

Can a survey be anonymous?

Yes. You choose named or anonymous when you launch it. With an anonymous survey the school sees who was invited and who has answered, but never which answer belongs to whom, and that is kept true in how the answers are stored.

Who can we send a survey to?

The parents of a class, a grade or the whole school, your teaching staff, one department, a few named people, or anyone at all through an open link. The audience comes from the records already in Enaton, so there is no list to build.

How do parents receive and answer it?

They are told by SMS, by a notification in the parent portal, or by WhatsApp. Parents who are signed in answer inside the portal, and everybody else answers on a secure link that works on any phone.

4 more questions
Can we keep a feedback box open all year?

Yes. A survey can close on a date, by hand, or when it reaches a target number of answers, or it can stay open as a standing feedback box.

Can a survey appear on our school website?

Yes. A survey can be shown on a feedback page of your Enaton school website, so visitors answer it there.

Do we need a separate survey tool?

No, and that is the point. A separate tool does not know who your parents and staff are. Enaton does, which is why it can ask the right people, tell them properly, and show you how many have answered.

Is this an extra module we have to buy?

No. Surveys and feedback are part of Enaton for every school.
